Parsons Village

Parsons Village is one of Massachusetts’s first Net Zero Affordable Housing projects, located in Easthampton, MA. MBL led the financial structuring which resulted in awards of over $11 million in tax credits and public subsidies, in addition to $300,000 from city Community Preservation Act (CPA) funds.

The seven building apartment complex comprises 38 units with studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments for low to very-low income families. The site includes a community building, recreational green space, and sustainable landscape features. Energy-efficient and sustainable building practices were used in its construction, including solar power from a 3,708 foot solar panel array that generates 65 kilowatts daily, saving the units 53 to 60 percent energy than a standard new home of similar size.
